Imagine for a moment your at one of your friends weddings, taking pictures of the lovely couple and getting good shots of the beautiful white wedding dress you swore you just took a picture of. Just before you post that image to your instagram or facebook you notice that the dress in your viewer is blue and purple? After attempting to adjust your filter a few more times you start to really trip out because what your seeing with your own eyes and what your camera happened to pick up are two separate images. Before you let everybody in on the fact that you’ve had way too much to drink and probably shouldn’t be taking pictures anyway, you concede to the fact that maybe you need to get your camera fixed and you might of had too much in the pre-game wedding binge to be operating anything that might sober you up enough to care.
The Image Fulgurator created by Berlin based artist, JULIAN VON BISMARK is a device for physically manipulating photographs. It intervenes when a photo is being taken, without the photographer being able to detect anything. The manipulation is only visible on the photo afterwards. Meaning a flash induced image is being projected on a subject without the knowledge of anyone other than the person with the IMAGE FULGURATOR. Talk about photo bombings on the next level..#mindblown
